The 6th Annual Ink-N-Iron Festival

ink_iron344We're sure most of you have heard the saying, "It's better than a day at the beach." When you add killer rides, hot tattooed girls and rockin' music, that day becomes a great way to spend a weekend.

That was the feeling shared by all who attended the 6th Annual Ink-N-Iron Festival, held June 5-7, 2009 at the world famous Queen Mary in Long Beach, Calif. Thanks to the great weather and impressive surroundings, the thousands who attended were treated to a weekend that many won't soon forget (and not just those who walked away with a new tattoo). Spread out over three days, the Ink-N-Iron show gave everyone a chance to catch up with friends in the lifestyle and see what the builders have been up to over the long winter months. They weren't disappointed, as the parking lot was jammed with a collection of sweet sleds and customs. Open to pre-1963, American-made cars and American and British motorcycles, the festival attracts the best and blackest rides around.

For those looking to grace their bodies with the latest in fashion, the selection of threads was nearly overwhelming. From clothes to hairstyles to, yes, ink, there were plenty of opportunities to add to your collection. In fact, the tattoo artists were housed inside the Queen Mary herself. Ink flowed in the aisles as their guns continually hummed throughout the weekend. Those wanting to add that new tatt could choose from over a hundred different inkers.

For many, this is one of the most anticipated shows of the season, and it seemed that everyone was having a great time. From cars to bands to pin-up pageants, the Ink-N-Iron Festival had it all, and is one that those in the "Kulture" shouldn't miss.
